Transplanted in Seattle June 2013 to February 2014.

2013 and 2014 have been really stressful years for us.  Our son qualified for the liver transplant list in June of 2013...spent 3 months in "transplant house" in Seattle at UWMC while they tried to keep him as stable as possible.  Came back to Wyoming for a couple months until out of the blue, they called us that they had a donor.  We made it to Billings (2 hr drive), got him on the plane and drove out to Seattle in time to see him before the surgery. (1300 miles that day).  He is doing amazingly well.  We came back to Wyoming mid February and he loaded up my antiques for us!  One year checkup in early January.

Transplanted in Seattle!

After one of the worst years ever, we ended things on a really positive note.  Our son, who had been suffering for two years with end-stage liver disease, received a call from UWMC Seattle to come out for a liver transplant.  That was Dec. 1st and he's doing exceptionally well.  We're here in a small apartment run by former transplant recipients near the hospital.  It's very small but completely furnished and easy to get to doctor appointments.  For "country bumpkins" like us, it's a stretch, but it won't be forever so we're making the best of it.  Main thing is that Chris will have a brand new life ahead of him.
